GIRLGUIDING IS THE LEADING CHARITY

FOR GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN IN THE

      UK, WITH OVER 320,000 MEMBERS

      Thanks to the dedication
      and support of over 80,000
      amazing volunteers, we are
active in every part of the
      UK, giving girls and young
      women a space where they
      can be themselves, have fun,
      build brilliant friendships,
      gain valuable life skills and
      make a positive difference
      to their lives and their
      communities.

      We build girls’ confidence
      and raise their aspirations.
We give them the chance to
      discover their full potential
      and encourage them to be
      a powerful force for good.
We give them a space to have fun. We run Rainbows (4–7 years), Brownies (7–10 years),
Guides (10–14 years) and Rangers (14–18 years).

We have units in Manea, Christchurch, Doddington and March and we need some more
adult volunteers to help run them to keep them open for the girls. Volunteering with
Girlguiding can be a worthwhile activity that gives you as much as it does the girls.

It is the chance to do things, go places and meet people that you wouldn’t do otherwise.
Volunteering can be done as part of schemes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme or
to show employers that you have more to offer than just your work skills.

If you would like to have an informal chat with the District Commissioner, Leanne Martin,
email her to arrange a meeting on: madico22@yahoo.com

There are many things we can do to support our local units, not all of them directly with
the children; if you have just a couple of hours per week, then they can use those hours!

Email Leanne and see what you have to offer!
