OF SQUEAK

September sees the start of another
season for Manea United Football
Club (MUFC) and the end of an era for
their former secretary Steven 'Squeak'
Beeken, who has decided to retire from
his position after 50 years’ association
with the club.

In August, ‘Squeak Day’ was
held at the Rose and Crown in
recognition of his dedication to
the MUFC and his retirement
from the secretarial role

Squeak's commitment to football
started at a young age, when he joined
the Manea Primary School team, and
has continued until the present day.
He has played for other clubs during
his adult life but mostly remained with
Squeak and his wife, Marian his roots in Manea. He has taken on
various roles during this time, including
managing a team at a time when the
