Charity Event in aid of the Air Ambulance
On the 7th of May the Social Group held a Charity
Coffee morning and Tombola in aid of the Air
Ambulance which was organised by Myriam
Steadman,
We had a wide selection of cakes donated from
members of the Social Group, and also Deborah
Rider, Mary Warner and Sue Woolnough. The
picture does not fully reflect the large amount
supplied as attendees had already started
enjoying them!
It’s the volunteers, in whatever
capacity, who make an event of
this nature possible
In addition, the Air Ambulance had supplied a picture puzzle where one had to guess the
number of helicopters in a picture. The prize, donated by Skylark, of a £25 Voucher was
won by Social Group member Rosa with the nearest answer of 93 against the answer of
91.
Whilst not wanting to mention everyone by name, in case someone is accidently missed
out, it is the volunteers, in whatever capacity, who make an event of this nature possible
– many thanks.
We are pleased to report that the monies received from the Cake Sales, Tombola, Puzzle &
Social Group attendance fees totalled £270.70 which is being passed to the Air Ambulance
account.
