The charity coffee morning and tombola, held on the 9th October in aid of the Multiple
Sclerosis Society, raised the sum of £131.19. Many thanks to Myriam for organising things,
ably helped by Gill and Bev. Also, thanks to all who contributed by either baking, providing
items for the tombola, making refreshments and washing up etc. Our next charity event
will be held in the Spring.
The Group celebrated its first anniversary on October 23rd by having a party with great
food and refreshments supplied by attendees and Les Herridge kindly agreed to do a ‘turn’
which was well received. Jeannie made the special celebratory cake.
Cuppa soup has been added during the colder months to our normal refreshments of Tea
and Coffee and a variety of cold drinks alongside biscuits and any contributions, such as
sausage rolls and cakes, that attendees may bring along.
We meet Weekly every Wednesday in the Back Room of the Village Hall in School Lane
between the times of 10:00am and 2:00pm with a nominal charge of £1 per person.
You can be assured of a friendly welcome in a warm room so why not come along and see
what it is all about; we look forward to welcoming you …
Why not bring a friend, or two, come along and meet up over a cuppa?
Note: Disabled access is available via the main hall.
