MANEA MATTERS
                                                              MANEA MATTERS
 MANEA SCHOOL Rainbow Flag

UPDATE Manea Community Primary school was awarded the
Rainbow Flag over 4 years ago.
The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance
framework for primary schools. The award is something
that many schools choose to take part in each year to
promote inclusion in its widest sense and forms part of
an approach designed to challenge and prevent, amongst
     other things, LGBT+phobic bullying.
Manea Primary is an inclusive school and the Rainbow Flag Award supports
the ethos of our school. It forms part of our school’s approach to PSHE which
is delivered in many ways through the wider curriculum. Many schools have
used this for some time in support of the National Curriculum, which states
that every state funded school must offer a curriculum which is balanced
and broadly based, and which promotes spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and
physical development of pupils at the school. As a school, we need to make
provision for personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE), and we
strongly believe that continuing to achieve the Award will be beneficial to all of
     the children in our school.

We are delighted to be renewing our inclusion in the Rainbow Flag scheme
     again this year.

             Book Week

In March the children of Manea Primary School celebrated Book Week.
All classes took part in special activities to celebrate all things reading.
The children and staff all dressed up as their favourite characters and
brought in some of their favourite books to share with their classes,
they also took part in a door decorating competition. Each class
chose a book to celebrate and transformed their classroom door into
             something magical.

We hope you enjoy seeing all of our hard work!

We hope that you have enjoyed this update from the school and if you would
like to volunteer as a school Governor and contribute to the education and
wellbeing of the children of Manea we would be delighted to hear from you.
