• Work identified in the recent survey of trees
at the park and pit has been carried out. The
Council is planting ten indigenous trees around
the park and pit to replace those we have lost.
• We continue to work through the process for
erecting school bus shelters on Charlemont
Road, Wisbech Road corner, outside the primary
school, the High Street and Westfield Road. We
have also agreed to fund an extra shelter for
service users in the centre of the village (subject
n addition to commissioning the skatepark, to permissions).
Councillors continue to push hard to get
Ivarious repairs completed.
• Most of the streetlights are now working.

• Road repairs are happening though not as fast
as we would like. We have met, and continue
to meet, in person with Officers from Cambs
CC. We are asking them to provide a schedule of
works for outstanding repairs.
• Councillors continue to attend every meeting
at FDC concerning the improvement of our train
service. After the dreadful service commuters
received in the months before Xmas, we are Manea Celebrates
monitoring progress to ensure Greater Anglia
provide replacement buses if this happens again. Councillors hosted a celebration evening to
thank volunteers who support and run activities
in the village. We were delighted to award small
grants totaling £1800 to: -
Manea Sirens, Brownies, Rainbows, Internet
Club, YPM (who run our Youth Club), Bowls Club,
Walking Club, Guides, Manea Silver Band and
our Baby & Toddler Group.
